Conflict Management and Negotiation

To be effective in today’s organizations, people need to have the essential skills of productively dealing

with conflict and negotiating for a win-win.

This course teaches specific techniques to identify conflict styles and interact with them appropriately.  It also leverages Interest-Based Negotiation to achieve a win-win, even if emotions run high.

After completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Identify your own individual conflict style using The Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI)
  • Interact effectively with those who have different styles
  • Productively use the techniques of Interest-Based Negotiation to better achieve results

What the course covers:

This course begins with a look at your personal conflict style.  You’ll learn where you normally operate from in a conflict and how to maximize the best and minimize the worst of that style.  You’ll then learn how to identify the difference between wants and needs when it comes to conflict and how to use techniques to negotiate effectively within them.
