For the first time in recorded history, there are now FIVE different generations of adults in
the workplace. When you think about all the different values in play, it’s no wonder managers and supervisors are feeling stressed.
The good news is that each generation brings a unique perspective and skill-set to the workplace. By getting to know the generations better, you’ll be better positioned to leverage their strengths to improve your organization’s effectiveness.
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Leverage your personal interaction style or personality (using The MBTI® or The Bug Factor ™) to explain away some of the stereotypes around generations
- Identify the power of values in motivating individuals
- Use the power of values to embrace each generations’ strengths
- Eliminate the stereotypes of each generation’s members
What the course covers:
This course begins with a look at your personal interaction style and how it impacts your ability to communicate. We’ll then take a look at the names and numbers of generations in the workplace today, identifying the traits that can improve your organization’s effectiveness. Finally, we’ll develop strategies around leveraging those strengths for more effective communication in the workplace as well as enhanced ability to train and think creatively.
